Chez Touvenot lies mid-way between the beautiful unspoilt beaches of
Royan and the historic city of Bordeaux.
It is approximately five minutes drive from Junction 37 on the main A10
Autoroute.
The house is a recently restored 18th Century winery that lies in the
heart of the French vine-growing region of the Charente Maritime. It is a
private gite with its own solar heated swimming pool set within a beautiful
surrounding area. The gite is large, cool in the summer, with all modern
conveniences. Its bedrooms and bathrooms are particularly spacious, making
for a very comfortable and relaxing holiday.
It is a perfect holiday base for families. It is a peaceful haven for
those who wish to chill out by the pool or take local village walks/cycle
rides, whilst being well located for visiting
the beautiful unspoilt beaches and dining in some fine local restaurants. A myriad
of activities can be found just a short distance away, including the historic
towns of Cognac, Pons, Saintes and Bordeaux. There are
several fishing lakes, four golf courses and many activities for all of the
